It's Grammy Time For Hip Hop

Posted by Tahirah

It's the accolade that every artist secretly wants to win, and the 2009 nominations have been announced. And you know what else? They are bloody suprising!

LEADING with nominations is...

WEEEZZYYY baby! The most overrated rapper (in my humble opinion) is leading with 8 nods. Although I don't really rate his syrup-drunken flow (going into the booth high is NOT a skill people! I can't be mad at his swagga though, it's on point!) I definately think this is a good look for hip-hop.

Coldplay are repping hard for the UK with 7 nods

BUT more exciting is JIGGA, KANYE WEST & NE-YO all have 6 nods each!

UK girls, ESTELLE (who is up for 2 nods, first MOBOs & now Grammies...gwan gyal!), Leona Lewis, Adele and Duffy are also up for awards!
